Personal Care

Our Personal Care Services are comprised of the provision of assistance with activities of daily living. Our staff undertake those activities of daily living that a person would normally do for themselves, but are unable to undertake due to frailty, illness or disability.

Activities of daily living tasks are identified and agreed upon prior to commencement of the service. These may include:

  • Accompanying clients on community access activities;
  • Food preparation;
  • Supervision of medication;
  • Support with aides and appliances;
  • Assistance with eating and drinking;
  • Bathing, showering and sponging;
  • Shaving, hair care and grooming;
  • Dressing and undressing;
  • Continence support;
  • Assistance with mobility and transfers;
  • Assistance with rehabilitation and associated therapies.

Trefoil Care Services provides quality personal care services by:

  • Assisting with activities of daily living.
  • Developing a care plan with clients which includes needs identified by other treating professionals, such as their medical professionals, allied health professionals (Occupational therapist, Physiotherapist, or Speech Therapist, etc), and Case Manager if applicable.
  • Maintaining a safe, dignified, sensitive and private care environment.
  • Meeting the client’s needs by responding to changing needs identified by consultation with our clients and their treating care team.
